Action 4.3

Objectives
This sub-Action supports the training of those active in youth work and in their organizations, particularly leadership projects, youth advisers and supervisors of these projects. It also supports the exchange of experiences, knowledge and best practices of these professionals, and the activities leading to the establishment of long-term projects, high quality projects, networks and partnerships.

What is a project of training and networking?
A Training and Networking can be of two types:

  • An exchange of promotion project, cooperation and training in the youth field. Will be developed in order to implement an activity that supports the ability of achievement and innovation among promoters, and allow the exchange of experiences and good practices between those involved in youth activities.
  • A project leading to the development of future projects in the Youth in Action program. Will be developed in order to implement an activity to support potential developers, with a view to preparation and development of new projects included in the Youth in Action program, in particular, ensuring support and providing "know-how" for the development of projects; support for partner search; tools and means to promote the quality of projects.

The project has 3 phases:

  • Planning and preparation
  • Activity implementation
  • Evaluation (including consideration of possible follow-up activities)

Principles and non-formal education practice are reflected throughout the project.

Network training and Connection
A Network of training and Connection Project is developed in order to implement the following activities:

Practical training activities at the workplace (practical learning experience)
A short stay in a partner organization in another country in order to exchange best practices, acquiring skills and knowledge and / or building long-term partnerships through participative observation.

Feasibility visit
A short meeting with potential partners to evaluate the possibility of preparing a transnational project. Feasibility meetings aim to improve and develop existing cooperation or prepare a future activity
under the Youth in Action program.

Evaluation meeting
A meeting planned with partners, aiming to evaluate past activities, seminars or training courses. These meetings help partners to evaluate and discuss potential follow-up after undertaking a common project.

Study visit
An organized program of study, short-lived, providing a vision of the work in the field of youth and / or youth policy provisions in one country. The study visit focuses on a theme and consist of visits and meetings to different projects and organizations in the chosen country.

Constitution Activity partnerships
An event organized to allow participants to find partners for transnational cooperation and / or for the preparation of projects. Partnerships constitution activities together potential partners and facilitate the development of new projects around a chosen topic or an action of the Youth in Action program

Seminar
An event organized to provide a platform for discussion and exchange of good practice, based on theoretical contributions, around a chosen theme or themes which are relevant to the youth field.

Training course
An educational learning program on specific topics, in order to improve skills, knowledge and attitudes of participants. Training courses lead to higher quality of work in the youth field, specifically, Youth in Action projects.

Networking
Activities aiming to create new networks, or to strengthen and widen existing networks under the Youth in Action.
