YOUTH ON ADVENTURE is a volunteer project developed under the Youth in Action Programme, more precisely in Action 2. European Voluntary Service.
During 3 months, Greta Lithuania and Louay Egypt went on an adventure with young people with fewer opportunities Association Grow No Risk and activities developed methods based on non-formal and informal, always accompanied by educational aspect and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport and outdoor activities, as well as, workshops, brainstorming, teatro-fórum, roleplaying, encouraging the active participation of young people and addressing issues related to social and cultural reality of the participants.
"Youth On Adventure" arose from the convergence of several factors associated with the activities of the Association Grow No Risk (CSR), not in term time, in other words, the period where we develop a larger and more varied range of activities with young people who follow, young people with fewer opportunities.
It was intended to create a project that encourages creativity, the ability of initiative, team spirit, turning this period into an adventure for all who take part in it on the support of volunteer work of young European, and Mediterranean countries, giving you a broader dimension. So, we will promote quality in leisure time together with sporting and outdoor, as tools for healthy living.
Thus, aspire to "Youth On Adventure" allows youth mobility in Europe and frame, same, active participation in relation to the cultural diversity of these young people process.
Our motivation for hosting European volunteers stems from the needs mentioned above, along with the help and support centers dedicated to educational monitoring of CSR. These young people will participate in the activities undertaken by the association, methods based on non-formal and informal, namely, Desportes and through the activities to air livre (surf, Walks, camp), always accompanied by educational aspect and promoting a healthy lifestyle through sport, and also, workshops, brainstorming, teatro-fórum, roleplaying, encouraging the active participation of young people and addressing issues related to social and cultural reality of the participants. We believe that cultural diversity processed and transmitted to young people is to reflect motor, fostering tolerance, and the consciousness of belonging to something greater than. These approaches will act as the inclusion of young people with fewer opportunities motor supported by CSR.
